     Amazing! had a wonderful experience here at the New Directions Guesthouse.  After a good snowfall it didn't take long that the host had it all cleaned up and taken care of.  We loved the ice candles that they put out and lite up at night. Wonderful stay and we will be back again!

     We came back for a birthday weekend and enjoyed showing our adult children your picture book - complete with pictures of when we actually lived here, (1970-1977). Dave and Janet are so great at hosting. We arrived back from our birthday celebration to find our way light in the most beautiful setting.  Thank you - we are always happy to "come home" again and you both make it so!!

     Another great stay a our home away from home.  We missed the frozen ice balls with the candles

      inside, but otherwise Everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, homey, comfortable, and completely

     with family on the breezy front porch was divine.

     We had another very enjoyable stay at Grandma Possley's home. Our daughter Theresa, her

     husband, Robin, and their sons stayed here with us. They all enjoyed my stories about Grandpa

     and Grandma Possley. My sisters Edith (named after Grandma Possley) and Mary visited and

     we had a wonderful conversations.  Edy lives in Florida and Mary lives south of Owen.  It always

     feels special to be in this house and in Thorp.

     I had heard that you converted this house into a guesthouse and was always curious about it.

     My grandparents Charles and Edith Possley lived here when I was growing up. Much has

     changed but I have many great memories here.  Liz and I enjoyed our 2 day stay.  I bored her with

     all my memories as we strolled through Thorp.  We so enjoyed our chat on Thursday. We will

     strongly consider reserving next December when wee again return to Thorp for our annual 

     Lesniewski Relly Reunion.

Our family of 10 felt really comfortable and at home here.  It was big enough for everyone to have a place to sleep and the porch was a great community area.  The owners are so incredibly nice; they helped us get the DVR working so that we could watch Harry Potter.  Another part of staying here that I personally enjoyed was the quiet and friendly neighborhood.  There's a great little coffee shop down the street.  It has great food (check out the pie!)

Wow. This place.  We have been coming to this area for the last 5 years and just found this place now!  It's amazing!  A beautiful 4 bedroom house, in a nice quiet neighborhood.  

David and Janet were outside working upon arrival and instantly made us feel at home.  

There is a beautiful wrap around porch which was great to sip a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.  The house was super clean and the hosts thought of everything you might need and beyond.  The special touches - cut flowers, home made zucchini bread, organic coffee and teas were much appreciated. It was nice to walk 2 blocks and get to the main drag - cafes, shops, parks, nearby.  We had a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Barb especially enjoyed the fresh flowers.  As always it is very nice to have the extra bedrooms so that young people have a place to stay if they can make it up to the event.  Barb and I spent some enjoyable hours on the front porch, watching the world go by and especially the ambience of small town life.  The covered porch is a nice feature of the house.  Jim and Barb, Rochester, MN.

May 15-16-17 - Leroy and I watched our friends leave on Friday. We all arrived on Thursday May 12. Eileen (Gary), Carole (Clete), MaryLou (Don), and Bonnie(Leroy). We have gotten together for the last 23 years. The four of us girls graduated from Stanley High School in 1960. Bonnie's family reunion was held on Sat. May 16th at Stanley Chapman Park. So Leroy and I continued our stay at your house for Friday and Saturday nights. We would recommend your rental house with the comfy beds and all the equipment in the house making it home - cookies waiting for us - fresh flowers in vases. Thank You Janet and David. The bakery and coffee shop you had recommended were fantastic and you were such a wonderful resource for our stay. All 13 of us were able to travel from Iowa, MN, & WI to have our family Christmas and it was such a comfort to be "at home" versus in a hotel. 7-28-14 Greetings from Texas!! Came here on Thursday the 24th for the Marek family reunion. Will be staying until Monday the 28th. Was great to get a house, fully furnished! Sunday July 13, 2014 We arrived Friday to a warm welcome and everything prepared for us. The house was just as nice as we remembered from our previous visit. We entertained family Friday evening and had a pancake breakfast this morning. Serving family meals in a homey atmosphere adds to the wonderful charm of the guest house. Thanks again! May 22-29, 2014 Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. What a delightful surprise to find this guest house in Thorp. It made for a very pleasant stay in the Owen-Withee-Thorp area. Favorites were: the front porch, fresh flowers, quality coffee, and the fruit left out upon arrival. Oh, and the Cows, all 12. My sister and brother-in-law joined me for two nights of my one week stay. They were so delighted that they reserved for Memorial Day weekend 2015. Thank you for your gracious hospitality.
